Bravo will once again let its roots show when "Tabatha's Salon Takeover," returns for a second season. The show features the blunt and critical stylist Tabatha Coffey visiting various salons in need of a serious makeover and whipping them into shape. The new season premieres. Bravo airs on channel 129 on Dish Network.Tabatha Coffey originally appeared on Bravo as a contestant on the first season of “Shear Genius.”

Apparently, Bravo liked her brutal honesty and ice queen personality, because they gave her her own show. Coffey is originally from Surfer's Paradise, Australia. She fell in love with the hairdressing field at age 14 when she worked as a salon assistant. At 15, she started a four-year apprenticeship program and then moved to London for eight years to continue her training. After that she moved to the States and opened the Industrie Hair Gurus salon in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Overall, she has 19 years of experience in the industry. The salons featured on the show are suffering from financial difficulties and poor business practices and are usually about to go under. On each episode, Tabatha takes over the salon for one week and observes the employees and their styling techniques, not to mention the customer service being offered. Her standards demand cleanliness, professionalism, and overall passion for the craft.

She gives her critique to the salon owners – who is doing what wrong, what needs to change, etc. – and by the end of the episode the salon gets a complete dramatic makeover and a new lease on life. Some people do not like her brash, no-nonsense approach, and sometimes employees clash with her, but in the end most are appreciative for what she does for them.

The salons Tabatha will makeover this season in the Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami areas include: Orbit Salon - Chicago, Ill.Allure Salon - Miami, Fla.Eclectic Salon - Los Angeles, Calif. Bang Salon - Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.Plush Salon - Chatsworth, Calif.Brownes and Co - Miami, Fla.Refuge Salon - Los Angeles, Calif. Chicago Male - Chicago, Ill.Tantrum Salon - Covina, Calif. Earth Moon Sun - Western Springs, Ill.If you're a fan of makeover shows, or of Bravo shows in general, make sure you catch “Tabatha's Salon Makeover” when it premieres November 3 on Bravo!
